Emilio Salgari’s popular novel Sandokan, The Tiger of Malaysia was originally published in serial form as Le Tigri di Mompracem in La Nuova Arena in 1883 and 1884. Since then the legend of this Malayan pirate, his partner Yanez, and their band of warriors, has spread throughout the world, leaving their mark in all forms of media, including comic books, theater, music, movies, television and animation.
