This is the second of three Pirates of the Caribbean movies starring Johnny Depp and Geoffrey Rush. In Dead Man's Chest, Captain Jack Sparrow continues his adventure of supernatural intrigue which pits him against cannibals and Captain Davy Jones' ship full of half-sea-creature pirates.

This time Captain Jack owes a blood debt to the legendary Davy Jones, ruler of the briny depths, as it were, and captain of the ghostly Flying Dutchman, which rises out of the deep to drag ships down to the Ships Graveyard. Jack will need all his crafty skills to get out this one, or  else he'll be cursed to an afterlife of eternal servitude and damnation; which, of course, is not a good thing. Davy Jones demands Jack give him 100 souls in exchange for his own. But Jack has another idea. Now he must set out across the Caribbean in search of the Dead Man's Chest which contains Davy Jones' still-beating heart. And as if that weren't enough, Captain Jack's problems throw a huge monkey-wrench into the wedding plans of the blissful Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann, who quickly find themselves thrust back into Jack's misadventures, along with some of Barbossa's crew. Expect some strange liaisons and betrayals all around as everyone tries to achieve their different goals with lots of action and excitement.

This movie was such a huge blockbuster that it took in over a billion dollars in its first nine weeks.
