We had burned our own CDs using the theme song, "A Pirates Life for Me." This played as you walked up the board walk. Another boom box was set up for the beach scene that echoed "DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES" over and over. We made canons from large black PVC pipe and filtered smoke from a fog machine through the tips. Our son Taylor set off fireworks to simulate cannon fire. It took us 2 months of nights and weekends to build the scene from scrap lumber we scrounged from the local dump.
